Yep. I couldn't stomach that. You see, what these high flying Hollywood producers need is a person like us on set as a consultant.. Then when they start stretching the boundaries between the far-fetched to the ridiculous you just step in and go "Oi, reign it in boys".
I mean seriously, I am surprised there was anyone in the studio that thought that scene was credible?

The flying General Leia scene did it for me, utter gash! so not expecting this one to be any better.
That scene was fucking ridiculous, like something out of Mary Poppins

Just watched the first 2 episodes of the Mandalorian. Not bad, but not brilliant.

I think Old Ben went back and gave her one at some point and she's the off spring of both

Rogue One was very good because it had a good story and characters which had the right balance of being for adults and kids. The recent Star Wars movies have been style and special effects over storyline and character development.

I know it's not part of the linear trilogy but Rogue One is, for me, outstanding and ad good as any of the original 3.
I like others will watch with my nephew but more out of obligation just to finish it.
Not sure who came up with the big giant baddie. They must have been on good drugs. He is utter shite.

I will watch it but mostly out of a feeling of obligation now.
Rogue One was tremendous but the last one was awful. Never mind even the possible complaints about "SJW" points, it was slow and turgid.
I expect some monumental story shift here to cap off the series. My outside bet is Rey being a reincarnation or clone of Shmi Skywalker.

I didn’t mind the Last Jedi, but I didn’t love it either, so I’ll wait for the reviews before deciding whether I could be bothered. The reviews for Solo were unenthusiastic, so I didn’t bother with it.
The franchise isn’t awful but it has been a bit Disneyfied outside of Rogue One.

Will watch because I need to finish things I start.
Certainly lost much of its appeal and the last one was just plain a bad movie.

With you on that Dan, thought Rogue One was very good.
The others are watchable.

The new ones are fine, though I can't say I particularly loved TLJ. Outside of the main story Rogue One was great, Solo a big disappointment. Mandalorian is very promising. The prequels look worse with every passing year. I liked ROTS at the time but cringe at most of it now. Phantom Menace is genuinely unwatchable.
The big expanded story (all that stuff that isn't canon any more) had plenty of Palpatine not being dead. It's possible that the Mando story will tie into this too.
Apparently this film will finish with a scene that will tie everything together and resolve it all in a way that will delight everyone. So that's something to look forward to.
I'm booked in for a 7, 8, 9 triple bill on the night TROS comes out.
